Products and services

Q) What flooring products can I choose from?
A) We install hardwood, laminate, carpet, tile, and vinyl from top-quality brands like Mirage Hardwoods, BHK, Alloc, Duraceramic, and Mohawk/Royalty carpets.

Q) Do you offer traditional hardwood services?
A) Yes, we experts in hardwood, and perform the full spectrum of traditional wood services, like sanding, staining, refinishing and recoating.

Q) Do you provide any upfront design consultation?
A) Yes, we are pleased to offer complimentary consultation. Our approach gives you personal assistance in helping you match the perfect floor to your home and your life.

Preparing for installation

Q) Do I need to remove our furniture? 
A) We offer full service, and will move all your furniture from your home to start our work. When the floor is complete, we’ll return furniture exactly the way it was. Some additional fees apply.

Q) If I choose a traditional wood service, does it cause a lot of dust?
A) We respect your home the same as you. Before any wood service, we do a thoroughly plastic cover off all doors, rooms and areas that aren’t to be sanded. We cover kitchen cabinets, appliances and fixtures to minimize dust. However it is important to note that the sanding dust is very fine and will filter through nearly any barrier, our goal is to minimize it.

Timing of projects

Q) How long does it take to install a new floor?
A) Your Personal Design Consultant will determine the timing of your project so you know what to expect. While the length varies for each individual project, typical timeframes are:
· 1-2 days for carpet, vinyl and laminates
· 2-3 days for tile and prefinished hardwoods
· 4-8 days for traditional wood services

Q) Why do traditional wood services take longer?
A) Your wood floor can last a lifetime only with the proper care. We want to protect your investment, so we take no short cuts when laying, sanding and finishing your floor. With the “three-coat finish” process, each coat needs to be fully cured for 24 hours before another coat is applied. Don’t be misled by companies that offer a “three-coat finish” in one day. 

 

 

Walkthroughs and warranties

 

Q) Will you provide me with a final inspection?
A) Yes, before we consider a job complete, we do a mandatory walkthrough with you to make sure you’re satisfied with our work. However, with our Traditional wood services, walkthroughs aren't done on the final day of the job. If problems arise after the final coat, we will be happy to return and address the issues.

Q) Does your work come with a warranty?
A) Yes, we offer a warranty so you don’t have to worry. If you find something after the walkthrough you’re not happy with, just give us a call. All our work is backed by a one-year craftsmanship warranty. 

Licensing and insurance

Q) Are you licensed?
A) Yes, we are fully licensed by the State of California. You verify this going to the state board’s web site [link to http://www.cslb.ca.gov/], clicking on “Check a Licensed Contractor” and entering our number: 859459.

Q) Are you insured to do commercial projects?
A) Yes, we do small commercial projects. Currently, our general liability insurance covers up to one million dollars.
